So... You've Decided to Start Punting?

You've found someone you like, you've read her advert, and now you're staring at the contact button wondering what the hell you're supposed to say. 😂

We have all been there, and if you're me, you then fill any silence that follows with weird conversation and sarcasm. Not the worst strategy, but probably not the best first impression.

Let's break this down, from making that first contact through to hopefully actually securing a booking.

Also, don't get discouraged if it takes you a few attempts to find a lady who feels right for you. Sometimes that initial conversation can tell you quite a lot, and it's worth finding someone whose personality, communication style and expectations work for you.

1. Read the advert first

Before you send that first message, actually read the advert.

I promise you, I don't write all those words for decoration. 😂

I know I have quite a long bio on my advert, but most ladies have only a few lines. Either way, that information is there for a reason, and it's frustrating when it becomes obvious that someone hasn't read it because they don't know even the most basic information already provided.

This also applies to any information you're sent afterwards. In my case, that includes my WhatsApp greeting and the information in my WhatsApp catalogue.

I've put a lot of time and effort into making sure the information is there so that, even if I can't get back to you immediately, you can find answers to many of your questions while you wait.

So please, read the information you've been given first.

2. Have the basics ready

Sounds logical, right?

You'd be surprised how many people haven't even thought about the basic information they may need to provide.

If a lady specifically asks you for certain information in her advert or WhatsApp greeting, please actually provide it.

For example, my greeting message tells you exactly what information I need before we can continue. It's simple and really isn't that much to answer, yet I still have to drag it out of so many of you.

If you want to be saved under a very descriptive and increasingly weird contact name, this is definitely the way to go. 😂

Seriously though, we ask for this information for a reason. It may simply be so we know who to expect, or because a lady has certain booking requirements or exclusions.

Information you may be asked for includes:

  • Your name — even a fake one is fine. Just give us a name so we know who we're talking to.
  • Your age
  • Your ethnicity
  • When you'd like to book — ideally a date and rough time.
  • How long you'd like to book for
  • Whether you're looking for an incall or outcall
  • Any specific requests or requirements you have

I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

The more useful information you give us upfront, the easier it is for everyone.

3. So... what do you actually say?

You don't need some elaborate opening line. You don't need to impress her, and you definitely don't need to write your entire life story.

Something as simple as:

“Hi, I'd like to enquire about booking you next Tuesday. I'm looking for a two-hour incall around 3pm. I'm new to this, so I have a couple of questions before booking. Are you available?”

That's a perfectly good first message.

You've given her the date, approximate time, duration and type of booking, and you've let her know you have a few questions.

That's enough to start a conversation.

4. It's okay to ask questions

If you don't understand something, ask.

Seriously.

You don't need to pretend you've done this a hundred times if you haven't. If you're new, just say so. Most workers would much rather know you're inexperienced or nervous so they can explain how things work.

You can ask things like:

  • “I've never done this before. Is there anything I should know?”
  • “How does your booking process work?”
  • “Do you require a deposit?”
  • “Where are you located?”
  • “Do you offer outcalls?”
  • “I saw this mentioned in your advert. What does it mean?”

A genuine question is completely different from making assumptions.

If you don't know, ask.

5. Give her a chance to respond

This one seems obvious, but apparently it needs to be said. 😂

If you've sent your message and she hasn't responded immediately, give her some time.

She could be working, sleeping, driving, with another client, away from her phone, or simply doing anything other than staring at WhatsApp waiting for your message. You know, like normal people do...

If you haven't heard back after a reasonable amount of time, a polite follow-up is fine.

Just remember that no immediate response doesn't necessarily mean anything personal.

And that's really it.Read the advert, have your basic information ready, communicate clearly, ask questions when you're unsure and give the other person a chance to respond.
See? Not nearly as scary as you thought. 😂
And if the first lady you contact isn't quite right for you, that's okay too. Finding someone who feels like the right fit can take a little time.
Next up: what NOT to do.
Because there are some things that might seem completely harmless to you but can make a lady immediately reconsider whether she wants to take your booking.
And trust me... I've got stories. 😂
Xxx
